Unable To Connect While Streaming Youtube Videos By Real Player

I've been facing the message
of "Unable to connect" when I stream any RTSP link
like these:

[video] rtsp://
video3.
multicasttech.
com/
AFTVClassics3
GPP296.sdp

[audio] rtsp://
rmv8.bbc.net.
uk:554/
radio1coyopa/
radio_1_-
_friday_1900. ra

Or Youtube videos.

And after some observations, here is what I've found:
1- When RealPlayer asks for
an internet connection and
starts it, I often receive the
message. But when I open a
connection manually, I works
fine.

2- Make sure that the access
point given to RealPlayer is a
working one:

Options -> Settings ->
Streaming -> Network -
> Access point in use

3- Make sure the WLAN
bandwidth is set to a right
value that suits your
connection speed:

Options -> Settings ->
Streaming -> Network -
> Options -> Advanced
settings -> WLAN
bandwidth

Internet On Your Phone Using Bluetooth

Ok I found this other guide which is more easy for newbies to follow. I ahvent checked it on my 6600. Will do the testing soon. Those of you on N-gage & 3650 please try too and post a new topic outside this FAQ section about how it is. this will work on most s60 phone
I guess! it has been tested on an NGAGE and on N3650!

step 1: Creating an access point on your phone!

settings\connection\access points\options\new access point>default settings...

these are the settings u need there..

Connection Name : Anything (sugestion ADLS or PCGPRS something u remember well cuz u'll need it later!)

Data Bearer: GPRS Access

Point Name: The name you gave to your bt connection when pairing up with the computer...

Username : None

Password : No

Authentication : Normal

Gateway IP Address : 0.0.0.0

and that's all on this on this part..
then go to:

tools/settings/connection, and select GPRS
set the GPRS connection to "when available", and the access point to "none".

The settings on your fone are done! now... the next step;

Create a serial port connection from ur pc to ur phone (u've done this before if u ever used Pcsuite from nokia), this serial connection must be on everytime you want to use your pc internet connection as a gprs connection for ur phone!!

Install the software u need to surf the web (opera, netfront,
agile messenger for chat, etc..)
My advise to you is to use netfront, the options are pretty cool and it uses less memory meaning u can still run other
program such as agile at the same time (it crashed my 3650 when I tried to do it with opera).

Voil? ur ready to use ur phone to surf and chat for free!!
hope this helped you and that is simple and clear!! any question u
know where to post, this will be updated if many doubts come up.
ps. works with ngage arena games!!! Enjoy!

10 Things You Didn't Know About Nokia

1) The ringtone "Nokia tune" is actually based on a 19th century guitar work named "Gran Vals" by Spanish musician Francisco Tárrega. The Nokia Tune was originally named "Grande Valse" on Nokia phones but was changed to "Nokia Tune" around 1998 when it became so well known that people referred to it as the "Nokia Tune."
2) The world's first commercial GSM call was made in 1991 in Helsinki over a Nokia-supplied network, by Prime Minister of Finland Harri Holkeri, using a Nokia phone.
3) Nokia is currently the world's largest digital camera manufacturer, as the sales of its camera-equipped mobile phones have exceeded those of any conventional camera manufacturer.
4) The "Special" tone available to users of Nokia phones when receiving SMS (text messages) is actually Morse code for "SMS". Similarly, the "Ascending" SMS tone is Morse code for "Connecting People," Nokia's slogan. The "Standard" SMS tone is Morse code for "M" (Message)
5) The Nokia corporate font (typeface) is the AgfaMonotype Nokia Sans font, originally designed by Eric Spiekermann. Its mobile phone User's Guides Nokia mostly used the Agfa Rotis Sans font
6) In Asia, the digit 4 never appears in any Nokia handset model number, because 4 is considered unlucky in many parts of Southeast/East Asia.
7) Nokia was listed as the 20th most admirable company worldwide in Fortune's list of 2006 (1st in network communications, 4th non-US company)
8. Unlike other modern day handsets, Nokia phones do not automatically start the call timer when the call is connected, but start it when the call is initiated. (Except for Series 60 based handsets like the Nokia 6600)
9) Nokia is sometimes called aikon (Nokia backwards) by non-Nokia mobile phone users and by mobile software developers, because "aikon" is used in various SDK software packages, including Nokia's own Symbian S60 SDK.
10) The name of the town of Nokia originated from the river which flowed through the town. The river itself, Nokianvirta, was named after the old Finnish word originally meaning sable, later
pine marten. A species of this
small, black-furred predatory animal was once found in the region, but it is now extinct.

How To Increase RAM On Your Symbian Mobile

Methods To Free More Ram On Your Mobile Phone.

Method 1: Flight Mode: Put Your Phone In "Flight
Mode" With Psiloc System Tools. Install System Tools, Open It And Select "Flight Mode". This Way You Can Restart The Phone Without Your SIM Card So There Will Be No Running Phone Tasks In The Background. Now You Can Have Up To 3,5 MB Of Free RAM! Note: Ironically Enough, Flight Mode Doesn't Work When Smart Launcher Is Installed, At Least In My Case. But I've Also Heard Several Reports Of People Who Have Both Apps
Running Without Any Problems.

Method 2: Smart Launcher Trick: Install Smart Launcher And Open It. Go To Options, Settings And Put Launcher ON. Now Plug In Your Charger And Switch Off Your Phone. Wait Until The Battery Meter Appears And Short Press The Menu Button (don't Hold). The Menu Should Appear And Now You Can Have 3,5 To 4,5 MB Free RAM! (Hold Menu Button To Check RAM). The Trick Is That With The Charger Plugged In, The Phone Must Get A Minimum Software Support For Charging, Even When The Phone Is Switched Off. And Somehow Smart Launcher Has Still Got It's Shortcut Running And That's The Menu Button. So When You Press The Menu Button, You Go Directly To The Menu Without Any Other Phone Tasks Running In The Background So You Trick
The Phone And You Have More Free RAM! Note: When You Unplug The Charger, The Phone Will Switch Off.

Method 3: Menu : This Method I Found It By Myself, It Frees A Little
About 100~200 KB But I Guess It's Useful Sometime Close Your Menu Not By Selecting The Right Selection Key "exit", Or Pressing The Menu Key Another Time, They Only Hide The Menu App But Do Not Close It, To Close It Select The Left Selection Key "option" And Scroll Down And Select "exit" So When You Open An App Needs More Ram Reopen Menu And Close It, It's Useful When Play Low Bit Rate Video In Real Player Paradise.

Nokia Sim Lock Check

CHECK SIM-LOCK
Note - If you bought your Nokia on UK Vodafone or UK Cellnet you do not need to check this because they both transmit on GSM900, and they don't lock the phones. However if you bought your phone on UK Orange or UK One2one your phone may be blocked. The reason is that they both transmitt on GSM1800. To make a call on GSM1800 you need what is known as a "Dual band" phone. A dual band phone is able to transmit on both GSM900 and GSM1800, so they lock the phones so you can't use it with any other network simcard. If you find that your phone is locked you can try different software to unlock it. (we havn't found one that works yet), or you can ask your service provider who will gladly exchange the 10 digit code for about £35. This is how to check the status of the 4 different locks. Aslo don't try entering the wrong number, because after 3 times it will block the phone for good.

Clock Stopping
To check weather your SIM Card supports clock stopping type- *#746025625# (*#SIM0CLOCK#)

Revealing the Headphone and Car-Kit menus
Please note that if you do these next tricks, the new menus can't be erased without retoring the factory default settings. To do these tricks you need to short-circuit the pins on the bottom of the phone next to where you plug in you charger.
1. To activate the "Headset" menu, you need to short-circuit pins "3" and "4". After a short time the word "Headset" will be shown in the display. Menu 3-6 is now enabled.
2. To activate the "Car" menu, you need to short-circuit pins "4" and "5". After a short time the word "Car" will be shown in the display. Menu 3-7 is now enabled.

THE REBOOT TRICK
This should work on all software versions of the 6110.
1. Go to the Calendar (Menu-8)
2. Make a note or reminder.
3. Enter some text into the edit box.
4. Hold "Clear" until the whole text is cleared, then press "Back".
5. Press "0". The main screen will now be showing but a space appears on the screen. (you can't see it)
6. Enter 4 digits (e.g. 1234).
7. Use the down arrow to move the cursor to the left side of the numbers and the space (Down arrow twice).
8. Now enter 6 digits and press the call button.
Wait for a few seconds, the screen should start to flash and reboots. It should alsowork on other menus like the "Profiles" menu.

EFR CALL QUALITY To activate EFR (Enhanced Full Rate)
Enter the code- *3370# This improves call quality but decreases batterylife by about 5% To deactivate it, Enter the code- #3370#

THE JAMES BOND TRICK
If you short-circuit theleft middle and right pins on the bottom of the phone with all connections touching each other, the Nokia software hangs! The profile "Headset" will be activated. Before you do this just activate the "Automatic Answer" in the headset profile and set the ringing volume to
"Mute". Now you can use your phone for checking out what people are talking about in a room. Just place it under a table in a room and call it. The phone receives the call without ringing and you can listen to what people are saying.
